Details
We met on a rafting trip on the Cal Salmon river in 2000. Now we are getting hitched. This is our own personal site for everything about our wedding.
Our wedding will take place the weekend of August 8th, 2008 in Half Moon Bay, CA at the San Benito House B&B. Both ceremony and reception will take place on the grounds of the B&B. We would love for all our guests to stay the entire weekend at either the San Benito House or at one of the other B&Bs in downtown Half Moon Bay. See the Accommodations page for more information on places to stay. We will be planning some sort of beach picnic or dinner the night before and day after the wedding in Half Moon Bay. Please try to come for the weekend.
Meet and Greet
Friday, August 8th, 5pm - 8pm
Cameron’s Inn & Pub
We will be meeting at Cameron’s pub at 5pm Friday night for some drinks and snacks. Cameron’s is very casual and very kid friendly. It is about 1 mile south of the Hwy 92 and Hwy 1 intersection on Hwy 1. There’s a big double-decker English bus outside so it’s easy to spot. We’ll have appetizers and drinks ready for you hungry travelers. You can either get pub food there (fish and chips, burgers) or meet us for a while and go find fancier food. We’ll just play it by ear. If you wind up getting into town after 7pm, give our cell phones a ring to see if we are still there. Again, this place is casual so feel free to wear jeans.
Directions to Cameron’s from SFO
Take the 101 South to highway 92.
Take the 92 West. After going over the hill, at the second stop light take a left onto highway 1 (The Cabrillo hwy). After approx 1 mile the Inn is on the right.
Sunday Picnic on the Beach
August 10th, 12pm - 3pm
Venice Beach
We will gather at Venice beach on Sunday afternoon for some fun in the sun. Venice Beach is one of the Half Moon Bay State Beaches and is just north of 92 on Hwy 1 (less than a mile). As with all Northern California beaches, plan to show some leg and expect to freeze your buns off. Fog is unpredictable around here. We will pick up some snack foods and drinks for everyone at the grocery store on the way there. Bring a blanket if you’ve got one.
From the intersection of 92 and 1:
- Turn right onto Hwy 1
- Go about a mile until you see a brown sign on your left for Venice Beach (If you get the the Horse stables on Hwy 1, you’ve gone too far).
- Turn left and follow the bumpy road all the way to the beach.
Visit the Half Moon Bay State Beach Website.
